Seth Metoyer is well known for his contributions to the subterranean world of extreme metal, with the aggressive intensity of bands like Pulpit Vomit and Mangled Carpenter. However there’s another side to Metoyer’s musical personality, one that was revealed earlier this year with the ‘House Of Echoes’ single – a sublimely melodic piece of alt-rock, steeped in haunting atmosphere that showcased Metoyer’s outstanding vocal abilities. Now the album for which ‘House Of Echoes’ was the precursor is here, fulfilling every promise made by that revelatory track, it’s time to follow Seth Metoyer Through The Vanishing Point…

‘House Of Echoes’ guides us into Through The Vanishing Point, enveloping us in the ambiance and emotion of all that is to come – and what follows is a quite remarkable collection of songs, bound together with openness, unflinching honesty and deep reflection. From the huge choruses and warm, rich guitars of ‘One Night In Nashville’ to the beautiful wounded balladry of second single, ‘A Sky Stitched In Blue’, the bright, vibrant power of ‘Endless Grey’ to the breathtaking vulnerability of ‘The Finality Of Goodbye’…Through The Vanishing Point has so much to offer. Metoyer’s vocals are stunning in their ability to evoke emotion, to reach out and embrace the listener and this is particularly apparent on the three bonus tracks, which offer alternate versions of ‘A Sky Stitched In Blue’, ‘The Finality Of Goodbye’ and the dark, brooding ‘Between The Tangent’.
