Knim prepare to release A Prisoner On The Seas

February 23, 2022

I set my course based on nothing but the whisper of a promise, my heart fired by eyes that seemed to hold the secrets of the world. Driven onwards by dreams of my own making and desires that robbed me of peaceful sleep, seeing only the ideals that I wanted to see, I sailed through wide oceans of contradictions ever closer to the edge. I sailed ever further, ever deeper into the empty places that encircle every map and chart. The unknown, the unseen; those places marked only with the warning – here there be dragons...

Hailing from West Yorkshire Knim are a three-piece band who blend progressive rock and epic metal, weaving threads of glorious melody through thrilling guitar riffs, sending impassioned vocals riding across turbulent landscapes of thunderous rhythms. Tales of blighted love, dark magic and facing seemingly insurmountable odds unfurl in their wake as they push onwards, exploring new sonic realms...searching, experiencing and challenging with every note. A Prisoner On The Seas is the debut single from this remarkable new band and it gives a perfect insight to what Knim have to offer. It’s an invitation to join them on the journey that is to come and a grand adventure in its own right. The song’s atmosphere captivates and entices from the first echoing notes, tendrils of mist reaching out and drawing you in as the music opens around you. The mundane world is left behind as you set sail with Knim across turbulent seas, through overwhelming storms to islands of tranquillity and beyond.

Once played, never forgotten, A Prisoner On The Seas is a beautifully structured piece of contrasts and complexities that will keep listeners coming back over and over again, seeking that thrill of riding the edge of a maelstrom, that sense of escape, that lift of the spirit that comes with a perfectly chosen melodic progression. Available on all major digital platforms from March 18th this is the beginning of something very special indeed. Climb aboard; it’s time to depart for distant shores beyond imagining.
